The Will of Ages — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

The Will of Ages: Lives That Might Have Been ("the app") is published by DBO E-Commerce Services, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information when you use it.

The short version

Information the app stores on your device

The answers you give when sealing your will, the stories ("dispatches") generated from them, the artifacts in your codex, your lineage, your Quill balance, your daily streak, your purchase status and your settings are saved in a local database on your phone. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share a story yourself. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or erase your data in Settings.

Reminders

If you turn on daily reminders, the app schedules notifications on your device. They are local notifications created by the app itself; no push service is used and nothing is sent to us. You can turn reminders off in the app's Settings or in Android's notification settings at any time.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep the app free, free players may see a banner ad on the Codex and Lineage screens and an occasional full-screen ad after closing a story. You can also choose to watch a rewarded ad for extra Quills or to reveal a second artifact. Ads never appear in the middle of a story. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share with Google and its advertising partners:

This information is used to serve, measure and improve ads, and to prevent fraud. How Google uses it is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before showing personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time from the app's Settings screen. You can also opt out of ad personalisation on your device under Android Settings → Google → Ads.

Purchases (Google Play)

The Chronicler's Pass (a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase), No Ads and Quill packs are sold through Google Play. Payments are processed entirely by Google; we never receive your card details, name or email address. The app asks Google Play which purchases your Google account owns and saves only the result on your device, so the app keeps working offline. Your purchases are governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Data deletion

Because the app stores nothing about you on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally. Advertising data held by Google is governed by Google's own policies and your Android advertising settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
