QuickLevel — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
QuickLevel: Bubble Level & Angle ("the app") is published by DBO E-Commerce Services, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information when you use it.
The short version
- The app measures with your phone's motion sensors, on your phone. Sensor readings are never sent anywhere.
- There is no account and no sign-in, and we never ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
- Your saved readings, notes, settings and calibration are stored only on your device. We cannot see them.
- Free users see a small banner ad from Google AdMob. QuickLevel Pro users see no ads. The ad SDK and Google Play's purchase service are the only parts of the app that use the internet.
- QuickLevel Pro is bought through Google Play. We never receive your payment details.
- The app contains no analytics of its own.
Motion sensors
The app reads the accelerometer (and, during calibration, the gyroscope) to show angles, level, plumb and slope. These readings are processed on your device while the app is open and are never stored on a server or shared with anyone. The app does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
Information the app stores on your device
Readings you choose to save (with their optional notes), your settings, recent targets and your calibration are saved in the app's private storage on your phone. Your purchase status is also cached there so Pro keeps working offline. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to copy, share or export it yourself (for example, sharing a reading or a CSV file with another app). Calibration and the cached purchase status are excluded from Android backups because they belong to one phone; settings and saved readings may be included in your own Google backup if you have Android backup turned on. Everything is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
To keep the app free, free users see one banner ad at the bottom of the main screen and the Saved readings screen. The banner has its own space and never covers the reading, the vial or the buttons. There are no full-screen ads. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and are limited to content suitable for general audiences (rated PG or lower). When an ad is requested, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share with Google and its advertising partners:
- the device's advertising ID (which you can reset or delete in Android settings);
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- device and app information such as model, operating system version, language, and app package name;
- diagnostic information about ad requests and interactions with ads.
This information is used to serve, measure and improve ads, for analytics about ads, and to prevent fraud. How Google uses it is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy choices in the app. You can also opt out of ad personalisation on your device under Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Purchases (Google Play)
QuickLevel Pro is an optional one-time purchase (not a subscription) sold through Google Play. It removes all ads and adds CSV export and extra themes. Payments are processed entirely by Google; we never receive your card details, name or email address. The app asks Google Play whether your Google account owns QuickLevel Pro and saves only the result on your device. Your purchase is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Children
The app is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Data deletion
Because the app stores nothing about you on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android settings, removes everything stored locally. Advertising data held by Google is governed by Google's own policies and your Android advertising settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
