Sports Oracle privacy policy

Effective September 27, 2026

The short version

Sports Oracle has no accounts, never asks for your name or email address, and has no server of its own. The game runs entirely on your phone and works without an internet connection.

The app is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google's advertising software collects some information from your device, such as your advertising ID and IP address. That is the only information that leaves your phone for advertising, and it goes to Google, not to us.

You can also buy Sports Oracle Pro, which removes the ads. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details, and we have no server that records purchases.

Who is responsible for this app

Sports Oracle is made by DBO E-Commerce Services, LLC, an independent developer in the United States. Questions about this policy can be sent to 1dboservices@gmail.com.

What the app keeps on your phone

The app saves a few things on your device so it remembers them next time: whether sound and vibration are switched on, how many games you have played, your record against the oracle (for each finished round: which sport you picked, who won and how many questions it took), and whether your Google Play account owns Pro. This stays on your phone, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and is deleted when you uninstall the app. The Reset local data button in Settings clears everything except the Pro answer, which comes back from Google Play anyway.

All of the questions, answers and trivia are built into the app. Playing a game does not use the internet.

Purchases

Sports Oracle Pro is sold through Google Play, as a subscription or a one-time purchase. When you buy it, Google Play handles the payment and your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). The app does not receive your card or bank details, your name or your email address.

To know whether to switch Pro on, the app asks Google Play on your phone which Sports Oracle purchases your Google account owns, and remembers the answer on your phone so Pro also works offline. That information is not sent to us or to anyone else.

You can cancel a subscription at any time in the Google Play app, under Payments & subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Google Play.

Advertising

Sports Oracle shows ads provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Ads need an internet connection. When your phone is offline, no ads are requested and no information is collected for advertising.

When the app requests an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app collects the following and sends it to Google: your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers, such as the App Set ID; your IP address, which can be used to estimate your approximate location; information about how you use the app and interact with ads, such as app launches and ad views and taps; and diagnostic information about how the ad software is performing.

Google uses this information to show and measure ads, to prevent fraud and abuse, and for analytics. Depending on your choices and where you live, Google may also use it to show you ads based on your interests. Google explains how it uses this information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and its full privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy

Ads in Sports Oracle are limited to content Google rates as suitable for most audiences, which excludes gambling, alcohol and other adult topics.

Your choices

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your phone's settings, usually under Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Security & privacy > More privacy settings > Ads. Deleting it stops apps from using it to personalize ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app uses Google's consent tool to ask your permission before ads are personalized. Where that applies, you can change your choice at any time from Settings > Privacy choices inside the app.

You can also simply play offline. With no connection, no advertising information is sent.

Children

Sports Oracle is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has been using the app and you have concerns, contact 1dboservices@gmail.com.

Your rights

We do not store any personal information about you ourselves, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side.

Information collected by Google's advertising software is controlled by Google. You can manage it through your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com and through your device's ad settings.

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights over your personal information. You can contact us about any of them at 1dboservices@gmail.com.

Security

The app itself does not send anything over the internet. Information collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is sent to Google over encrypted connections, and purchases are carried out by Google Play's own secure payment system.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with a new effective date, and the copy inside the app will be updated in the next version of the app.
